The portal shivered and warped as a figure formed in its depths. A slender body moved forward, the red of his skin sharp against the lush landscape. Hooves of silver pushed through the void and rested upon land it had never touched before. Pearl like horns pierced the portal and introduced the full face of the figure. A stallion, with citrine eyes that glowed slightly against the dark color around them. His long ears twitched forward as his eyes wandered the landscape before him. He continued to step forward, until his entirety was revealed to this new land.

His back legs appeared like spears and they punctured the ground as he finished his entrance. He stood there, ears swiveling through his crown of flames as he monitored his surroundings. The sky was dark, the only light appearing from the great stars above. As he turned his head up, he discovered these stars were not familiar to him. This was a new land, maybe even a new realm for the beast.

His eyes settled on the landscape once more, his tail flicked to the side as his flames threatened the grass. The isles had welcomed a new visitor, and one that was ready for adventure once more. Malphas Ocarin, Stallion of many titles, had arrived in a land he would be forced to adapt to in the years to come. He offered a slight gruff to the silence around him and seemed a bit agitated as he continued to look around. "This is no tavern....
Orion could hardly believe where he was. One moment he’d been exploring a patch of forest, the next, he was on what seemed like some sort of floating structure. He’d seen some glimmer of light, heard a faint crackle, almost like lightning, but then it was gone, and so was he. He’d found himself on the outskirts of what appeared to be a bustling city, filled with activity, with equine and cervine. And most, if not all, of them had wings! The inquisitive stallion was filled with amazement, and more than a little apprehension. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been in close proximity to so many people…if he ever had. It was more than a little overwhelming, especially since he didn’t, couldn’t, speak.

Feeling more than a little lost, Oreo looked about in vain for a sign that there was someone who would help him get his bearings. His wings were tucked closely to his sides, and helped shelter the scaled form of his companion Elara. Her white form blended in well with his own white coat, the only discernible features being her bright blue eyes and the little pink tongue as she tasted the air. She was wound loosely around his neck, her head tucked against the uppermost part of his wings.

As he looked around, he thought he spotted someone who had looked his way more than just to offer a judgmental glance, but he wasn’t entirely sure. So, he just lingered there, on the outskirts, looking incredibly lost.

In the darker area of the bustling kingdom, set within an alleyway, a portal sparked to life. It began to hum, causing some to look as Syrilth stumbled through. She never stumbled, the portal had literally spat her through making her skid onto the cobblestone. Her wings spanned out earning a gasp. They were immense, they had to be to pick up her large and muscled figure. Her eyes immediately saw those nearby and stared at them for a second before whirling around. "What is this?!" Some things never changed, for her temper still flared up when she was surprised - again - by magic. The portal shimmered and crackled with lightning before it suddenly stopped as if it didn't just send her in this dark area.

She heard the whispers nearby and wasn't afraid to stare at them outright. They whispered about her wings, wings that she had so many years ago earned. She had come upon something that had sent her here while searching for her long lost love, Isolde, but to no avail. Little hope flared within her but curiosity of where she was won out. "You three! Where am I?" She walked up to towards them, her wings folding behind her in a relax position, while her hooves clopped and thudded on the stone. They looked up at before one of them cleared their throat. "Why you're in the dark parts of the kingdom, traveler. The Isles of Volatilis, ruled by King - " They stopped, for she was already walking away.

This place was like nothing she had ever seen. There were tall structures and as she walked through the alleyway, no one dared to walk towards her even though she stared at them for a while. Was she so intimidating? Surely she couldn't have been the only dragonic horse they've ever seen. Syrilth let out a snort, remembering the times some did who were fearful of her while others weren't back so long ago. She finally got out of the alleyway and dark part, she could see that pegasi were seen everywhere both walking and in the air. So many of them! Her eyes narrowed to block the sun, which was always a welcome sight. Some had armor and some didn't, just like her. Up ahead was a market but she wasn't a fan of a crushing crowd, so she kept to the outer areas.

If she was here, she needed to find out what here consisted of. So it was time to explore as much as possible, a feat she had done many times that it was done without hesitation.
